Pianist
Amy Lanier
Amy Lanier grew up in Pilot Point and now lives there with her husband in a farmhouse on several acres. She has four grown children and a lively assortment of furry and feathered companions, including three cats, one dog, many chickens, and several goats. Amy is an Assistant Professor of Library Science at Texas Woman’s University and a researcher who studies social connection and information-sharing within communities. Some of her earliest memories include tinkering around on the high notes while her father played hymns, an experience that shaped her lifelong relationship with music. She has played piano for worship for most of her adult life and is grateful for the continued opportunity to serve the church through music.
